Emulsifying Wax is a blend of Cetearyl Alcohol and Polysorbate 60. It blends fats with water and is ideal for improving consistency and stability of emulsions.

This emulsifying wax is vegetable based and self-emulsifying.

Emulsifying wax usually begins at 5% of the total formula but can be used at a higher rate to create a thick lotion.

There are many different Types of Emulsifying Wax. Ceteary Alcohol Polysorbate 60 is a non-ionic emulsifying wax containing a combination of the two emulsifiers polysorbate 60 and cetearyl alcohol.
